Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located on the eastern flank of the Jiangyema area about 100 km to the southeast of the Zhada County, Tibet. It was named by the Tibetan Regional Reconnaissance Party in 1987.
Lithology and Thickness
Limestone. Composed of purple limestone, brecciated limestone and bioclastic limestone, intercalated with two layers of basic volcanic rocks, and with a thickness of over 1373.4 m.
